This 50’ standard box car with short ladders, plug door, and no roof walk is brown with white lettering and runs on Roller Bearing trucks. Built in the 1950s by Pullman-Standard, this 55000-55272 series ATSF boxcar was rebuilt by the Topeka Shops in 1979 and received upgraded brake valves, trucks, and fresh paint. It served for at least another 10 years before being scrapped.
