Managing Seller Information

    




The Sellers table is provided to help eliminate the tedium of entering collections into TrainCat by setting up Seller Codes that will be available in a drop-down field when a record is added or edited. In this manner, the default Seller, or Retailer, can be configured for new Inventory items. This link is a connection to the details of the Seller/Retailer for the Seller's Report and the Insurance Report.

Click on the Config menu and select Seller Info Manager. This screen will appear. The navigation buttons on the screen bottom allow the user to view a particular Seller/Retailer. The button functions from left to right are: First Seller, Previous Seller, Next Seller, Last Seller, Search for a Seller, Print Seller's Report, Add New Seller(Save Seller), Edit Seller(Abort Edits), Delete Seller and Exit Seller Management.

Notice that the Add and Edit buttons also have dual roles. When in the Add or Edit mode, these two buttons become Save and Revert.

TrainCat will not allow the user to delete a Seller if an Inventory item is linked. For Insurance purposes, it is highly recommended that the complete information for all Sellers are maintained. The user should consult with their insurance representative in this matter.
