Deleting An Item

     

There will come a time that it is necessary to remove an item from TrainCat's  Inventory or Master List. Please notice the main button set at the bottom of either screen. For this help page, we will be concerned with the Delete button. The first step is to view the item to be deleted. Refer to Searching For An Item for an explanation if required.




Once located, click on the Delete button. A confirmation window will appear

Click on Yes to delete or No to cancel and keep the item in the Inventory or Master List. 

Notes:

  1. Deleting an item does not remove it from the database. The item, once deleted, will not be visible or usable to the program. To permanently remove deleted items from the database, the user must run the Database Utility program provided with TrainCat.
  2. TrainCat will not permit the deletion of an Seller if an Inventory item is linked to the Seller.
