Fixing Inventory Auto-Keys

     

Inventory Auto Keys are the mechanism that allow the Inventory to contain multiple records of the same Master Item type and not have a conflict. On occasion due to the nature of users adding and deleting Inventory records, TrainCat may try to assign an Auto Key to an new item being added to the users Inventory that was assigned to a deleted item. Correction of this occurrence is quite easy. The Auto-Keys Utility is executed through the TrainCat Database Utility program installed in to your program shortcuts during installation. 

Select the Reindex Databases option to begin. All of the users data will be automatically backed-up before the Re-Auto Key process begins. A progress bar on the screen bottom will indicate the completion of each table until all data has been backed-up.

The Database Utility will present an information box when the operation is complete.
