Search Field Configuration

     

New to version 1.01.000, the new natural language search engine and it's configuration can be customized by the user to suit their needs. The Search Fields used by TrainCat are maintained in the Database Configuration screen accessed from the Main Menu and Selecting Config then Databases. Select Search Fields from the Database selection tool at the top of the screen. It is NOT advised to change the existing series to stay compatible with the TrainCat Community, feel free to add your own

The Search function is available to either the Inventory and/or the Master List. The database that the search parameter is related to is found in the first column. The second column contains the natural language description show in the search. The third column contains the order in which the Search Field will be displayed. Setting the order to "0" will disallow the field from being displayed.

The Command Buttons work in the same fashion as described in the Inventory and Master List screens. The user must click on the Edit button before changing any of the fields.
