Manufacturers Configuration

     

The Manufacturers database associates a three letter code to the manufacturers name. These codes are used extensively throughout TrainCat.


The Manufacturers used by TrainCat are maintained in the Database Configuration screen accessed from the Main Menu and Selecting Config then Databases. Select Manufacturers from the Database selection tool at the top of the screen. It is NOT advised to change the existing manufacturers to stay compatible with the TrainCat Community. Feel free to add your own manufacturers.

The Command Buttons work in the same fashion as described in the Inventory and Master List screens. The user must click on the Edit button before changing any of the fields.

The database consists of three fields, the manufacturers code,  the display name and a checkbox to enable the Manufacturer. This feature was added in version 1.01.0000. The user may now disable Manufacturers from being displayed in the associated drop-downs throughout TrainCat. Also, disabling the Manufacture will inform TrainCat to ignore Master List products from the Manufacture during the Internet Update process. Both the Manufacturers Code and the Name MUST be unique for proper operation.
