Category Configuration

Categorizing Inventory and Master List items allows quicker and easier searches.


The Categories used by TrainCat are maintained in the Database Configuration screen accessed from the Main Menu and Selecting Config then Databases. Select Categories from the Database selection tool at the top of the screen. It is NOT advised to change the existing categories to stay compatible with the TrainCat Community. Feel free to add your own categories.

The Command Buttons work in the same fashion as described in the Inventory and Master List screens. The user must click on the Edit button before changing any of the fields.

The database consists of two fields, the category code and the display name. Both items MUST be unique for proper operation.
